Paul Tobin is an American comic writer who has written regularly for Marvel Comics since 2000. Writing Tobin's first major work was the comic ''Fringe'' for Caliber Comics in 1990. Since then he has written for ''Marvel Adventures Fantastic Four'', ''Marvel Adventures Super Heroes'', ''Marvel Adventures Spider-Man'', and many other titles. His work often involves writing comics based on video games, including ''Plants vs. Zombies'', ''The Witcher'', and the ''Angry Birds'' comics. He also has written comics for ''Adventure Time'' and ''Prometheus''. In 2013, he published his debut novel ''Prepare To Die!'', detailing a retired superhero known as Reaver returning to his hometown to reconnect with his ex-girlfriend and her sister following the death of his crime-fighting partner Paragon and a death-threat his nemesis Octagon intends to follow up on in two weeks. Stumptown Comics Fest was a comic book convention, held annually in Portland, Oregon from 2004–2013. Oregon Book Award
The Oregon Book Awards are presented annually by Literary Arts to honor the "state’s finest accomplishments by Oregon writers who work in genres of poetry, fiction, graphic literature, drama, literary nonfiction, and literature for young readers." Oregon Book Award was founded in 1987 by Brian Booth and Oregon Institute for Literary Arts (OILA). Charles City, Iowa
Charles City is a city in and the county seat of Floyd County, Iowa. Charles City is a significant commercial and transportation center for the area. U.S. Routes 18 and 218, Iowa Highway 14, and the Canadian National and Canadian Pacific railroads serve the city. The population was 7,396 at the time of the 2020 census, a decrease of 5.3%, from 7,812 in 2000. History The Ho-Chunk people, also known as Winnebago, had long occupied this area and had a village along the Cedar River. In 1851 Joseph Kelly, the first-known European-American settler in the area, came here after the Ho-Chunk had been pushed out.
