Patrick Stoddart
Patrick Stoddart (born 1944) is a British journalist, media consultant and presenter who was the media editor and television critic of ''The Sunday Times.'' He attended Watford Grammar School for Boys and began his career in journalism with the ''Watford Observer.'' He then worked for the ''London Evening News.'' He has also presented television and radio programmes including ''The Media Show'' and has worked for ITV, Channel 4 and Radio 4. In 1992 he won a celebrity special edition of ''Fifteen to One.'' The Sunday Times
''The Sunday Times'' is a British newspaper whose circulation makes it the largest in Britain's quality press market category. It was founded in 1821 as ''The New Observer''. The ''Watford Observer'' is a weekly local newspaper, published by Newsquest. It serves the town of Watford in southwest Hertfordshire, as well as the surrounding area. The Media Show
''The Media Show'' is a weekly British current affairs radio programme and podcast on BBC Radio 4 which examines the current state of the media. The first episode was broadcast at 13:30 on 1 October 2008 and since May 2017 has been presented by Amol Rajan, the BBC's Media Editor and occasionally by Andrea Catherwood. Until February 2017, when he died, the show was usually presented by Steve Hewlett, a columnist for ''The Guardian'' newspaper and visiting Professor of Journalism and Broadcast policy at the University of Salford. ''Fifteen to One'' is a British general knowledge quiz show broadcast on Channel 4. It originally ran from 11 January 1988 to 19 December 2003 and had a reputation for being one of the toughest quizzes on TV. Throughout the show's original run, it was presented and produced by William G. Stewart. Thousands of contestants appeared on the programme, which had very little of the chatting between host and contestants that is often a feature of other television quiz shows. History The basis of the show was devised by John M. Lewis, a former sales manager for British Telecom.
