Patricia Harty (actor)
Patricia Harty, also known professionally as Trisha Hart, is an American actress. Early years Born in Washington, D.C., Harty lived in Baltimore until age 5, when she and her family moved. She took lessons in singing and dancing while growing up in North Miami, Florida, and graduated from Edison Senior High School in 1957. She worked for a lawyer, took secretarial classes, and majored in English at Columbia University. Career Harty performed in the national company of ''I Ought to Be in Pictures''. On Broadway, Harty's credits include ''Fiorello!'' (1959) and ''Sail Away'' (1961). Harty debuted on television as a dancer on Pat Boone, Pat Boone's ABC Chevy Show program, and Perry Como, Perry Como's NBC Kraft Music Hall. She was also a featured dancer on Garry Moore, Garry Moore's CBS series, where she also performed in comedy skits with Carol Burnett. ''The Bob Crane Show'' is an American sitcom that aired on NBC. The series starred Bob Crane as Bob Wilcox, a man in his 40s who quits his job as an insurance salesman to return to medical school. The series co-starred Patricia Harty as his wife Ellie Wilcox, who becomes the family's breadwinner while Bob is in school. After initial delays, the series debuted on March 6, 1975. ''The Bob Crane Show'' performed poorly in the Nielsen ratings and was canceled after 13 weeks. Production ''The Bob Crane Show'' was originally titled ''Second Start'' and NBC planned to debut it in the fall of 1974. However, the Federal Communications Commission re-instituted its Prime Time Access Rule, which limited the broadcast networks to programming only three of the four hours of the prime time programming block. The show was the last musical for which Coward wrote both the book and music, although he wrote the music for one last "book" musical in 1963. The story centres on brash, bold American divorcee Mimi Paragon, working as a hostess on a British cruise ship.
