Pasquerilla West Hall (University Of Notre Dame)
Pasquerilla West is one of the 32 Residence Halls on the campus of the University of Notre Dame and one of the 14 dorms for women students. It is commonly known as PW or P-Dub. It is located on Mod Quad, between North Dining Hall and its twin dorm Pasquerilla East Hall. History Pasquerilla West Hall was built in 1981 as a gift from Frank J. and Sylvia Pasquerilla. PW and its twin, Pasquerilla East, initially were built with the expectation that Pasquerilla's twin daughters would each occupy one of the halls during their senior years. At the time, the couple's donation of $7 million was the largest in the school's history by a living person. Initially, Frank Pasquerilla wanted the gift to be anonymous, but Fr. Theodore Hesburgh convinced him to disclose his name since it might attract other donors. Devereaux Peters (born October 8, 1989) is an American basketball forward with WBC Dynamo Novosibirsk of the Russian women's league. Peters played at Notre Dame, where she was Big East Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2012. She led a Notre Dame squad that finished second in the 2012 NCAA women's basketball tournament. Peters made her WNBA debut on May 20, 2012, with the Minnesota Lynx, scoring 3 points and grabbing 4 rebounds in a win over the Phoenix Mercury. Peters quickly became the first power forward off the bench, and led the team in field goal percentage through sixteen games. Jacqueline Batteast
Jacqueline Batteast (born March 26, 1983) is a professional basketball player from South Bend, Indiana, who last played in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) for the Detroit Shock. Batteast attended the University of Notre Dame, where she became the school's 4th all-time leading scorer with 1,874 career points. She started a school record 97 consecutive games prior to graduating in 2005. Following her collegiate career, she was selected 17th overall in the 2005 WNBA draft by the Minnesota Lynx. On April 5, 2006, Batteast was dealt to Detroit for Ambrosia Anderson. Saint Clare Of Assisi
Clare of Assisi (born Chiara Offreduccio and sometimes spelled Clara, Clair, Claire, Sinclair; 16 July 1194 – 11 August 1253) was an Italian saint and one of the first followers of Francis of Assisi. She founded the Order of Poor Ladies, a monastic religious order for women in the Franciscan tradition, and wrote their Rule of Life, the first set of monastic guidelines known to have been written by a woman.
