Pasil Fish Market
The Pasil Fish Market is a major fish market located in Barangay Suba, Cebu City, Philippines. Established in 1921, the market is a major market for fresh fish sourced throughout the seas of Visayas, such as Visayan Sea, Samar Sea, Camotes Sea, and Bohol Strait, among others. The Pasil Fish Port started as a market, which was constructed with light materials and had wooden stalls. It was originally part of Barangay Pasil, thus its name. After a city ordinance dividing Pasil into two separate barangays (to be named Pasil and Suba) was approved, it was determined that the market was situated within the boundaries of the new barangay of Suba. It was later renovated in the 80s under the term of then- Cebu City mayor Tomas Osmeña when an agreement was negotiated with the government of Belgium for the construction of a nearby fish port. Manta Ray
Manta rays are large rays belonging to the genus ''Mobula'' (formerly its own genus ''Manta''). The larger species, '' M. birostris'', reaches in width, while the smaller, '' M. alfredi'', reaches . Both have triangular pectoral fins, horn-shaped cephalic fins and large, forward-facing mouths. They are classified among the Myliobatiformes (stingrays and relatives) and are placed in the family Myliobatidae (eagle rays). Edgardo Labella
Edgardo Colina Labella (; May 22, 1951 – November 19, 2021) was a Filipino politician and lawyer who served as the mayor of Cebu City from 2019 until his death in 2021. Prior to becoming mayor, he was the city's vice mayor from 2013 to 2019 and was a member of the Cebu City Council from 1998 to 2001 and again from 2004 to 2013. Stingrays are a group of sea rays, which are cartilaginous fish related to sharks. Tomas dela Rama Osmeña (; born July 26, 1948), known as Tommy Osmeña, is a Filipino politician who served as the Mayor of Cebu City thrice: first from 1987 to 1995, again from 2001 to 2010, and lastly from 2016 to 2019.
