Parque del Recuerdo ( es, Memory Park) is a group of cemetery parks located in Santiago, Chile. Parque del Recuerdo Américo Vespucio Opened in 1980, Parque del Recuerdo Américo Vespucio is located in the commune of Huechuraba, in the northern sector of the city of Santiago. It was the first cemetery of its kind in the country. It occupies 59 hectares and has a cinerary. Fernando Riera
Fernando José Riera Bauzá (27 June 1920 – 23 September 2010) was a Chilean professional football player and manager, patriarch of Chilean football. Career Riera was born in Santiago, Chile. As a footballer, he played for Chile in the 1942, 1947 and 1949 Copa Américas. He also played at the 1950 FIFA World Cup, and managed them on home soil to a third place in the 1962 World Cup. In 1962–63, Riera led Portuguese side Benfica to the Primeira Liga title.champions title. Matilde Pérez Cerda (December 7, 1916 – October 1, 2014) was a Chilean visual artist who specialised in kinetic art. She was a pioneer of modern and kinetic art in Chile. Her best known public pieces include ''Túnel Cinético'' (Kinetic Tunnel) in 1970, and ''el Friso'', which was originally constructed at the Centro Comercial Apumanque in 1982, but is now located at the University of Talca. General César Leonidas Mendoza Durán (September 11, 1918 – September 13, 1996) was a member of the Government Junta which ruled Chile from 1973 to 1990, representing the country-wide police force, the ''Carabineros de Chile''. Mendoza was born in Santiago, the youngest of the eleven children of Atilio Mendoza Valdebenito, a science teacher and first mayor of La Cisterna, and Amalia Durán, a pianist. Fernando Matthei Aubel (11 July 1925 – 19 November 2017) was a Chilean Air Force general who was part of the military junta that ruled Chile from 1973 to 1990, replacing the dismissed Gustavo Leigh as commander-in-chief of the Chilean Air Force on 24 July 1978. He was part of the Junta from 1978 to 1990, and served as minister of health from 1976 to 1978, retiring from the Air Force in July 1991. Serjio Robert Livingstone Pohlhammer (26 March 1920 – 11 September 2012), later simply known as Sergio Livingstone, was a Chilean goalkeeper, who later became a well-regarded journalist. He was nicknamed "El Sapo" ("the toad") for his typical posture in the goal. From 1938 to 1959 he played primarily for CD Universidad Católica in Santiago.
