Pag Bridge
The Pag Bridge ( hr, Paški most) is the bridge that connects the island of Pag to the Croatian mainland. It is a long, wide bridge whose long arch rises above an Adriatic Sea strait called Ljubačka Vrata. It was opened on 17 November 1968, and it transformed life on the island of Pag to be able to function more as a peninsula. The bridge was built by the local company Mostogradnja, designed by civil engineer Ilija Stojadinović, who also designed the nearby Šibenik Bridge. D106 Road
D106 is a state road connecting the mainland to island of Pag and terminating in Žigljen ferry port, from where Jadrolinija ferries fly to the mainland, docking at Prizna and D406 state road. The road is 73.8 km long. D106 is the main road route on the island of Pag. The southern terminus of the road is located in Posedarje, at an intersection with D8 state route - the Adriatic Highway. The road uses Pag Bridge as a crossing between the mainland and Pag Island. The road also comprises an interchange with A1 motorway in Posedarje interchange. The road, as well as all other state roads in Croatia, is managed and maintained by Hrvatske ceste, a state-owned company. Velebit
Velebit (; it, Alpi Bebie) is the largest, though not the highest, mountain range in Croatia. The range forms a part of the Dinaric Alps and is located along the Adriatic coast, separating it from Lika in the interior. Velebit begins in the northwest near Senj with the Vratnik mountain pass and ends 145 km to the southeast near the source of the Zrmanja river northwest of Knin. Its highest peak is the Vaganski vrh at 1,757 m. Bora (wind)
The bora is a northerly to north-easterly katabatic wind in areas near the Adriatic Sea. Similar nomenclature is used for north-eastern winds in other littoral areas of eastern Mediterranean and Black Sea basins.
