The Pacific Coast of Mexico or West Coast of Mexico stretches along the coasts of western Mexico at the Pacific Ocean and its Gulf of California (Sea of Cortez). Geography Baja California Peninsula On the western Baja California Peninsula coast, it extends from the border with the United States at Tijuana in the state of Baja California, south to the tip of the Baja California Peninsula at Cabo San Lucas in the state of Baja California Sur. Olmec
The Olmecs () were the earliest known major Mesoamerican civilization. Following a progressive development in Soconusco, they occupied the tropical lowlands of the modern-day Mexican states of Veracruz and Tabasco. It has been speculated that the Olmecs derived in part from the neighboring Mokaya or Mixe–Zoque cultures. The Olmecs flourished during Mesoamerica's formative period, dating roughly from as early as 1500 BCE to about 400 BCE. The Port of Manzanillo is a seaport located in Manzanillo, Colima, Mexico. This port is one of the busiest ports in Mexico, responsible for handling Pacific Ocean cargo for the Mexico City area. History The modern port of Manzanillo was established in 1971. Previously, the administration of the port of Manzanillo was problematic. There was a poor relationship between the workers and the previous administration. The government of Mexico created the National Commission for Port Coordination which was in charge of organizing the workers assignments, checking that work was done on time. The Port Chiapas ( es, Puerto Chiapas) or Puerto Madero is a port in Puerto de San Benito in the Tapachula municipality of the Soconusco region in the southern portion of the Mexican state of Chiapas. The port entrance lies about northwest of the mouth of the Suchiate River which is the international boundary between Mexico and Guatemala.
