Lara Sophie Katy Crokaert (; born 9 January 1970), known professionally as Lara Fabian (, , ), is a Belgian, Italian and Canadian singer and songwriter. She claims to have sold over 20 million records worldwide and to be one of the List of best-selling Belgian music artists, best-selling Belgian artists of all time. However, according to various media outlets and certifications, her actual record sales are estimated at 12 million. Born in Belgium to a Belgian father and an Italian mother, she moved to Quebec in 1991 and, since 1995, has held Canadian citizenship alongside her Belgian one. Rick Allison (born Éric Vleminckx, 17 July 1964 in Brussels) is a Belgian-born Canadian singer, author and record producer. Biography In 1990, Allison met singer Lara Fabian in a piano-bar in Brussels. They started writing their first songs together and went to Montréal in 1991 to work on Fabian's first album. The Félix Award ( is an award, given by the ''Association du disque, de l'industrie du spectacle québécois'' (ADISQ) on an annual basis to artists working in the music and humor industry in the Canadian province of Quebec. The award The first Félix awards were presented on September 23, 1979. The idea belonged to the first president of ADISQ, Gilles Talbot. The award trophy was created by Marc-André Parisé. The awards are named in honour of Quebec songwriter Félix Leclerc. Daniel Lavoie (; born Daniel Joseph-Hubert-Gérald Lavoie, March 17, 1949) is a Canadian musician, actor, and singer best known for his song " Ils s'aiment" and the role of Frollo in musical ''Notre-Dame de Paris''. "Perdere l'amore" is a 1988 song composed by Marcello Marrocchi and Giampiero Artegiani and performed by singer Massimo Ranieri. The song won the 38th edition of the Sanremo Music Festival, and marked the return to music of Ranieri after a decade devoted to acting. The song had been already proposed by Gianni Nazzaro to the Sanremo Festival organizers in 1987, but had been rejected in the preliminary song selection.
