Herbert Prohaska
Herbert Prohaska (; born 8 August 1955) is an Austrian former professional footballer. He ranks among Austria's greatest football players of all time. Prohaska works as a football pundit for the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF). His nickname "Schneckerl", Viennese dialect for curly hair, derives from his curly haircut in his younger years. A talented, elegant, and combative midfielder, Prohaska played as a deep-lying playmaker, and was known for his technique, intelligence, and precise passing. Anna Prohaska (born June 27, 1983) is an Austrian-British lyric soprano. She lives in Berlin. Career Anna Prohaska studied in Berlin at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music. Prohaska made her debut in 2002 at the Komische Oper in Harry Kupfer’s production of Britten’s '' Turn of the Screw''. In 2003 she was selected for the Académie européenne de musique in Aix-en-Provence, and in 2006 for the Internationale Händelakademie Karlsruhe. In 2006 she was engaged as a member of the permanent ensemble at the Berlin State Opera under Daniel Barenboim. Since 2007, she has worked closely with the Berliner Philharmoniker. Beside her wide standard repertoire, she is a modern and early music specialist. Felix Prohaska
Felix Prohaska (16 May 191229 March 1987) was an Austrian conductor and professor of musicology in Hanover. Education Felix Prohaska, born in Vienna, was the son of the composer and professor Carl Prohaska (1869–1927). He received his music education from his father; he studied piano with Eduard Steuermann and music theory with Egon Kornauth and Hans Gál. Career Felix Prohaska started his career as a répétiteur at the opera of Graz (1936–1939), and subsequently worked as a conductor at the opera houses in Duisburg (1939–1941), Strasbourg (1941–1943), Prague, Salzburg and at the Vienna Volksoper (1946–1955).
