Professor (1962 Film)
''Professor'' is a 1962 Hindi musical film, musical comedy film produced by F. C. Mehra and directed by Lekh Tandon. The film stars Shammi Kapoor, Kalpana Mohan, Kalpana, Bela Bose, Lalita Pawar, Tun Tun and Iftekhar. It was a box office super hit. The film was remade in Tamil as ''Nadigan'' (1990), in Telugu twice as ''Bhale Mastaru'' (1969), ''Peddinti Alludu'' (1991), and in Kannada as ''Gopi Krishna (1992 film), Gopi Krishna''. Red Chillies Entertainment currently owns the film rights. Lekh Tandon
Lekh Tandon (13 February 1929 – 15 October 2017) was an Indian filmmaker and actor. He had directed numerous Bollywood movies and Indian TV Serials. He gained national fame due to success of his directorial ventures Professor (1962 film), Prince (1969 film), Ek Baar Kaho, Jhuk Gaya Aasmaan and Agar Tum Na Hote. His films Amrapali (film), Amrapali starring Vyjanthimala and Agar Tum Na Hote with Rajesh Khanna in the lead role are considered as classics. Later after 2000, he had acted in movies such as Swades, Rang De Basanti, Chennai Express and Chaarfutiya Chhokare. He was the brother of Urdu playwright Yograj Tandon. The Filmfare Award for Best Music Director is given by the ''Filmfare'' magazine as part of its annual Filmfare Awards for Hindi films, to the best composer/arranger of a soundtrack. This category was first presented in 1954. Naushad Ali was the first recipient of this award for his song "Tu Ganga Ki Mauj" from the film ''Baiju Bawra''. Mohammad Rafi
Mohammed Rafi (24 December 1924 – 31 July 1980) was an Indian playback singer. He is considered to have been one of the greatest and most influential singers of the Indian subcontinent. Shankar–Jaikishan (also known as S-J) were an Indian composer duo of the Hindi film industry, working together from 1949 to 1971. They are widely considered to be one of the greatest music composers of the Hindi film industry. After Jaikishan's death in 1971, Shankar continued as a music director alone until his own death in 1987. During this solo career, he was still credited as 'Shankar–Jaikishan'.
