is a 1996 flight simulation video game developed by Nintendo and Paradigm Entertainment, Paradigm Simulation and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64. It was one of three launch game, launch titles for the Nintendo 64 in Japan as well as Europe and one of two launch titles in North America, along with ''Super Mario 64''. ''Pilotwings 64'' is a sequel to ''Pilotwings (video game), Pilotwings'' for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, which was a North American launch game for its respective console in 1991. Also like that game, ''Pilotwings 64'' received production input from Nintendo producer and EAD General Manager Shigeru Miyamoto. Pilot licensing or certification refers to permits for operating aircraft. ''Next Generation'' was a US video game magazine that was published by Imagine Media (now Future US). It was affiliated to and shared content with the UK's ''Edge'' magazine. ''Nintendo Power'' was a video game news and strategy magazine from Nintendo of America, first published in July/August 1988 as Nintendo's official print magazine for North America. The magazine's publication was initially done monthly by Nintendo of America, then independently, and in December 2007 contracted to Future US, the American subsidiary of British publisher Future plc. Its 24-year production run is one of the longest of all video game magazines in the United States and Canada. On August 21, 2012, Nintendo announced that it would not be renewing its licensing agreement with Future Publishing, and that ''Nintendo Power'' would cease publication in December.
