María del Pilar Alegría Continente (; born 1 November 1977) is a Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) politician from Zaragoza who has been minister of Education, Vocational Training and Sports since 12 July 2021. Alegría gained a master's degree in primary education and worked with the Department of Education, Culture and Sports in the Government of Aragon. The Most Excellent ( (male) or (female), literally "Most Excellent Lord/Lady") is an honorific prefix that is traditionally applied to certain people in Spain and certain Spanish-speaking countries. Following Spanish tradition, it is an '' ex officio'' style (the holder has it as long as they remain in office, in the most important positions of state) and is used in written documents and very formal occasions. Zaragoza is one of the 52 constituencies () represented in the Congress of Deputies, the lower chamber of the Spanish parliament, the Cortes Generales.
