Pierre Vachon (wrestler)
The Vachon Brothers (sometimes simply billed as The Vachons) was a professional wrestling tag team composed of Pierre "The Beast" Vachon and Damien "The Pitbull" Vachon. They were one of the leading heel (professional wrestling), "heel" teams on the independent circuit during the mid-2000s and, at one point, held the tag team titles of seven different promotions in both eastern Canada and the Northeastern United States, most notably, twice winning the NWA New England Tag Team Championship in 2005 and 2006. Although both men have been reported as the List of family relations in professional wrestling#Parent-children (Second-generation wrestlers), real-life youngest sons of legendary Canadian wrestler Paul Vachon, Paul "The Butcher" Vachon, neither are near relations of the Vachon family, Vachon wrestling family. Vachon Family
The Vachon family is a French-Canadian family long associated with professional wrestling in Canada and the United States, headed by Maurice Vachon, Maurice "Mad Dog" Vachon, his brother Paul Vachon, Paul "Butcher" Vachon - both longtime National Wrestling Alliance, NWA and American Wrestling Association, AWA veterans - and their sister Vivian Vachon, Vivian. Wrestling Superstars - Live! was a governing body for a group of independent professional wrestling promotions and sanctioned various championships. It was founded in 1996 by Dale Gagner and Jonnie Stewart. History In 1996, Dale Gagner and his associate Jonnie Stewart, former American Wrestling Association (AWA) employees, began using the AWA name in the state of Minnesota, falsely claiming with the authorization from the Minnesota Secretary of State, and formed an organization known as AWA Superstars of Wrestling. Everett, Massachusetts
Everett is a city in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States, directly north of Boston, bordering the neighborhood of Charlestown. Maurice Vachon
Joseph Maurice Régis Vachon (September 14, 1929 − November 21, 2013) was a Canadian professional wrestler, best known by his ring name Mad Dog Vachon. He was the older brother of wrestlers Paul and Vivian Vachon, and the uncle of wrestler Luna Vachon. Vachon started his career as an amateur wrestler, participating in the 1948 Summer Olympics and winning a gold medal at the 1950 British Empire Games. He made the switch to professional wrestling and spent time in various promotions in the United States while occasionally teaming with his brother Paul. In Portland, Oregon, he received the name "Mad Dog" Vachon. In the early 1960s, Vachon became a main eventer in the American Wrestling Association. NWA New England
The Century Wrestling Alliance, formerly known as NWA Cold Front and NWA New England, is a New England-based American independent wrestling promotion located in Boston, Massachusetts. It was founded by Tony Rumble in 1989, a retired wrestler and manager in International World Class Championship Wrestling, and included much of its roster prior to and following its close during the early 1990s. The promotion eventually replaced IWCCW as the dominant independent promotion in the Greater Boston area and, in 1997, became an affiliated territory of the National Wrestling Alliance.
