Pfaff Motorsports is a Canadian sports car racing team based in Toronto that currently competes in the Group GT3, GTD Pro class of the IMSA SportsCar Championship. Background Current president and CEO of Pfaff Automotive Partners Chris Pfaff, who assumed control in 1986, is the son of the founder Hans J. Pfaff, who created the Volkswagen dealership H.J. The 2019 IMSA SportsCar Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the 2019 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship) was the 49th motor racing championship sanctioned by the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) (which traces its lineage back to the 1971 IMSA GT Championship). SRO GT4
SRO GT4 is a class of grand tourer racing cars maintained by the SRO Motorsports Group that race in various auto racing series across the globe. It is an entry-level class aimed at amateur drivers. GT4 cars are production-based vehicles with a few modifications for racing. The cars are closer to their road legal counterparts than most other GT racing classes; they are also one of the least powerful GT categories. The class uses a balance of performance system to provide close competition between different race cars. Scott Hargrove (born February 1, 1995) is a Canadian racing driver from Vancouver, British Columbia. Hargrove is the most successful driver in the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada history. Having competed in both Sports car racing and Open-wheel car racing, Hargrove has become one of Canada's premier racing drivers. Motorsports career Hargrove began karting in 2008, winning several championships in Canada and on the west coast of the United States. In 2010, Hargrove won the Skip Barber Racing School karting shoot-out. This granted him a scholarship to compete in the championship the following year. 2018 Pirelli World Challenge
The 2018 Pirelli World Challenge is the 29th season of the Pirelli World Challenge. Patrick Long was the defending champion in the highest class, the GT class. It is the second season sanctioned by the United States Auto Club. The season began on 9 March in St. Petersburg and ended on 2 September at Watkins Glen. It is the first season of the new TCR class, while the TCB class has been removed from the series. On 25 May 2018, the series announced it had been acquired by the SRO Motorsports Group. GT World Challenge America
The GT World Challenge America is a North American auto racing series launched in 1990 by the Sports Car Club of America. It has been managed by the SRO Motorsports Group since 2018, and has been sanctioned by the United States Auto Club since 2017. The series consists of four driver classifications and five classes of vehicles: GT3, GT4 (Sprint, SprintX, East and West), and Touring Car, consisting of TCR homologated cars, as well as separate TC and TCA classes featuring modified production vehicles, such as the BMW M235iR and the Mazda MX-5 Cup car. Scott Goodyear
Donald Scott Goodyear (born December 20, 1959) is a Canadian retired racing driver. He competed in CART Championship cars and the Indy Racing League. Along with Michael Andretti, Goodyear is the only driver to have won the Michigan 500 more than once, in 1992 and 1994. Goodyear also twice finished second in the Indianapolis 500, both times under contentious circumstances. Goodyear qualified for eleven runnings of the Indianapolis 500, from 1990 to 2001, missing only the 1996 race, which he did not enter. After starting last (33rd position) in the 1992 race, he finished second to Al Unser Jr. by 0.043 seconds. Goodyear could have won the 1995 race, driving with Tasman Motorsports, but after leading 42 laps, he mistakenly passed the pace car on a late, very slow restart. Rothmans International PLC was a British tobacco manufacturer. Its brands included Rothmans, Player's and Dunhill.
