Per Johan Svendsen
Per Johan Svendsen (born 1953 in Copenhagen) is a Danish painter. He was educated at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts from 1974 to 1981. In the 1980s and 1990s, Per Johan Svendsen was active in the Danish art group Syntese, which he founded in 1983 together with Steen Krarup Jensen and Flemming Vincent. The group's activities were wide-ranging and included exhibitions, societal debates, a lawsuit against Unibank (Denmark), happenings, professional art debates, as well as a collective application for a professorship at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Syntese sparked significant debate. In 2022, Per Johan Svendsen received the ''Henry Heerup Honorary Grant''. The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts () has provided education in the arts for more than 250 years, playing its part in the development of the art of Denmark. History The Royal Danish Academy of Portraiture, Sculpture, and Architecture in Copenhagen was inaugurated on 31 March 1754, and given as a gift to the King Frederik V on his 31st birthday. Its name was changed to the Royal Danish Academy of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture in 1771. At the same event, Johann Friedrich Struensee introduced a new scheme in the academy to encourage artisan apprentices to take supplementary classes in drawing so as to develop the notion of "good taste". The building boom resulting from the Great Fire of 1795 greatly profited from this initiative. In 1814 the name was changed again, this time to the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. ''Musikhuset Aarhus'' (Aarhus Concert Hall) is a large concert hall complex in Aarhus, Denmark. Located in the city centre, Musikhuset is Aarhus' main venue for music and with seating for more than 3,600 people in total, it is the largest concert hall in Scandinavia. Musikhuset Aarhus was designed by Kjær & Richter and built in 1979–1982, commissioned by Aarhus Municipality. The surroundings are designed by landscape architect Sven Hansen. Peter Laugesen (born 5 March 1942 in Copenhagen) is a Danish poet and playwright and was member of the Situationist International. Peter Laugesen lives in Aarhus and he graduated from Aarhus Cathedral School in 1961 and trained as a typographer. He became a member of the Situationist International in 1962. He was attracted by the writing of Ivan Chtcheglov and contacted Jeppesen Victor Martin and participated in a Situationist exhibition in Denmark. He was then invited to France where he met Guy Debord and Michèle Bernstein and was attracted to the dérive as a poetic practice. The National Library of Nicaragua Rubén Darío is the national library of Nicaragua, located in the city of Managua. It was founded in 1880, and damaged in the 1931 earthquake.
