Flucard
Flucard is a wireless SD card that is used primarily with digital cameras. The Flucard is manufactured by Trek 2000 International, which is the Singaporean company that is one of the purported inventors of the ThumbDrive technology. Features The Flucard is designed to work with any device that has an SD host slot. Once it is plugged in, the device will gain Wi-Fi capabilities and be able to wirelessly send files to other Wi-Fi enabled devices. Additionally, users can wirelessly upload files from the host device to the Flucard Portal or any other server of their choice. History In 2005, Henn Tan, the chief executive officer and chairman of Trek 2000 International, was on an overseas trip with his family in China. On the third day of the tour, Tan's daughter's camera went missing. Tan would later recount that it was not so much the cost of the equipment but the loss of three days' worth of invaluable memories that affected him. Out of this ordeal, however, came the idea for a ne ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

Trek 2000 International
Trek 2000 International Limited is a Singaporean technology company that is listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX:TREK). The company claims to be the inventor of the ThumbDrive, a USB data storage device. The company owns a library of more than 600 patents, with 360 granted patents. It has also developed numerous other products in the same consumer electronics market segments including the Ai-Ball and offers products such as SSDs and Flash Drives. The ThumbDrive trademark is registered by Trek 2000 International in international markets, although the original inventors of the USB flash drive and the related patents are the subjects of multiple disputes. History In 1995, Trek’s current chief executive officer and chairman Henn Tan bought over the company, then a family-owned electronic components trading business, for S$1 million with a plan to provide customised engineering to companies. Wayback Machine
The Wayback Machine is a digital archive of the World Wide Web founded by the Internet Archive, a nonprofit based in San Francisco, California. Created in 1996 and launched to the public in 2001, it allows the user to go "back in time" and see how websites looked in the past. Its founders, Brewster Kahle and Bruce Gilliat, developed the Wayback Machine to provide "universal access to all knowledge" by preserving archived copies of defunct web pages. Launched on May 10, 1996, the Wayback Machine had more than 38.2 million records at the end of 2009. , the Wayback Machine had saved more than 760 billion web pages. More than 350 million web pages are added daily. History The Wayback Machine began archiving cached web pages in 1996. One of the earliest known pages was saved on May 10, 1996, at 2:08p.m. Internet Archive founders Brewster Kahle and Bruce Gilliat launched the Wayback Machine in San Francisco, California, in October 2001, primarily to address the problem of we ... Pentax K-3
The Pentax K-3 is a 24-megapixel Pentax high-end digital single-lens reflex camera with an APS-C sensor, announced on 7 October 2013. The Pentax K-3 is the successor to both the K-5 II and K-5 IIs models, which have a 16-megapixel sensor. The K-5 II (and most other cameras of its time) had an optical low pass filter or anti-aliasing (AA) filter that can prevent the appearance of moire patterning on the captured image. This filter reduces the sharpness of the image, so Pentax also produced the K-5 IIs which omitted this filter. In the K-3, Pentax obviated the need for providing two separate models by including a selectable AA filter "simulator". This mechanism vibrates the sensor when switched on, slightly blurring the image in a way that replaces the function of the optical AA filter, providing the same benefit as the filter in the K-5 II and other cameras with an optical AA filter. When the AA simulator is disabled, the sensor records a sharper image, as in the K-5 IIs. The Pe ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

Pentax K-S1
The Pentax K-S1 is a midrange DSLR camera announced by Ricoh on August 27, 2014. It has a 20 megapixel sensor — new to the Pentax line-up — and an anti-aliasing filter simulator as previously seen in the Pentax K-3. Also adopted from the K-3 is compatibility with the Pentax FluCard, which allows wireless tethered shooting and wireless download of images from the camera. In other respects, the K-S1 inherits a fair amount from the K-30/ K-50 lineage, such as the compact, 100% coverage viewfinder, 1/6000s shutter and D-LI109 battery. A stereo microphone is also built in, to complement the 1080p at 30 frames/second video capability. The K-S1 is slightly larger than the Canon EOS 100D The Canon EOS 100D, known as the EOS Rebel SL1 in the Americas and EOS Kiss X7 in Japan, is an 18.0-megapixel digital single-lens reflex camera announced by Canon on 21 March 2013. It has been described as the "world's smallest and lightest DSLR ..., which as of August 2014 was the smallest DSLR ... Pentax 645Z
The Pentax 645Z is a professional medium format digital SLR camera announced by Ricoh on April 15, 2014. While it shares its sensor with the Phase One IQ250 and Hasselblad H5Dc, it retails at less than a third of the price of these (~8500 at ~27000 USD). In 2015, the 645Z won the TIPA Award for the ''Best Medium Format Camera''. The most notable improvements over its predecessor, the Pentax 645D, include much lower noise at high ISO, the ability to record video (FullHD at 30 frames per second), and a tilting rear display. It has a 27-point phase-detect autofocus system, all clustered near center of frame, and a weather sealed body. Its peak dynamic range is 14.8 EV at base ISO, compared to 12.6 EV on its 645D predecessor. Furthermore, the 645Z is compatible with the Pentax FluCard The Pentax FluCard, officially Pentax FluCard O-FC1, is a wireless accessory and memory card standard for Pentax cameras. As a memory card, it provides 16 GB of space and is specified as SDHC Cl ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |
