Pennant Hills Demons AFC
Pennant Hills Demons is an Australian rules football club competing in the Sydney AFL Premier League and based out of the Sydney suburb of Pennant Hills, New South Wales, Pennant Hills. Their home ground moved from Ern Holmes Oval in April 2011 to Mike Kenny Oval History The club was formed in 1971. Pennant Hills were promoted to the top Sydney grade, the SFL (now Sydney AFL Premier Division) in 1977. The club has won the Sydney Premier Division premiership 5 times. Their first was won in 2000, when the Demons defeated North Shore Australian Football Club, North Shore 15.12 (102) to 12.7 (79) at Macquarie University. Their second was in 2006, at Henson Park. The Demons scored eight behinds in a row to defeat the previously undefeated East Coast Eagles AFC, East Coast Eagles by two points. Kieren Jack (born 28 June 1987) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Sydney Swans in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was the co-captain of the Sydney Swans, alongside Jarrad McVeigh from 2013 to 2016. Early life Jack was born in Sydney, New South Wales. The son of former Balmain, NSW and Australian rugby league player Garry Jack, Kieren is the eldest of three brothers raised in the Cherrybrook suburb of Sydney. James Peatling is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He previously played for . Early life In his youth, Peatling played for amateur club Pennant Hills in the AFL Sydney Premier Division, and won a premiership for the club alongside future teammate Kieren Briggs. Kieren Briggs (born 6 October 1999) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the Greater Western Sydney Giants in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early football Growing up, Briggs prioritised soccer until he joined the Pennant Hills Junior Football club at age 11. Two years later, he joined the GWS Academy program. Despite Pennant Hills falling within the Sydney Swans Academy zone, due to the fact that he lived in Carlingford, he was consequently tied to the GWS Academy. Terry Thripp
Terry Thripp (born 31 October 1963) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Sydney in the Victorian/Australian Football League (VFL/AFL). The first Sydney local to play with the Swans after they relocated, Thripp was recruited from Pennant Hills after playing his junior football for Baulkham Hills. Thripp represented New South Wales at the 1988 Adelaide Bicentennial Carnival. Thripp had his best season in 1989 when he bagged 22 goals and had 291 kicks over the course of the season. Adam Chatfield (born 22 June 1979) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Carlton Football Club, Carlton in the Australian Football League. From the NSW/ACT Rams and having tested as the best sprinter in the 1997 AFL draft, Chatfield was drafted by Carlton with the No. 23 draft pick. He spent four years on the Carlton list, but managed only a single senior game before being delisted at the end of 2001. Brandon Jack
Brandon Luke Jack (born 25 May 1994) is an Australian author, journalist and former professional footballer who played for the Sydney Swans in the Australian Football League (AFL). As a youngster Jack played for Westbrook Junior AFL club. Jack then went on to play for Pennant Hills.
