History The origins of Pembridge Hall School stem from a convent school, 'Our Lady of Sion' which was founded in Chepstow Villas, Notting Hill in 1979 by the Sisters of Sion. In 1980, the school moved to 18 Pembridge Square, where the Lower School is currently based and became known for the first time as Pembridge Hall. Independent Schools Inspectorate
The Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) is approved by the Secretary of State for Education – under section 106 of the Education and Skills Act 2008 – to inspect private schools in England. These schools are members of associations, which form the Independent Schools Council. Role and remit ISI is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee, with a board of independent directors. The Independent Schools Council (ISC) is a non-profit lobby group that represents over 1,300 private schools in the United Kingdom. Pembridge Square is a residential square in the Bayswater area of London close to nearby Notting Hill. It is located in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, just across the border from the City of Westminster to the east.
