Paul Foot (comedian)
Paul Foot (born 24 December 1973) is an English comedian. Foot is known for his musings, rants, "disturbances" and apparent aversion to pop culture. The ''Daily Express'' likened him to "a rare exotic bird", and six national newspapers including ''The Independent'' and ''The Age'' have described him as "a comedy genius". Biography Foot was born and raised in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, and has a younger brother. He studied mathematics at Merton College, Oxford. It was during his studies that he first started performing stand-up. As of 2011, Foot has refused to discuss his years at Oxford or former pursuits as a mathematics student. Graduating from Oxford in 1995, Foot was head-hunted by a computer software company in the run-up to the dot-com bubble, but he loathed the industry: "I had to read manuals on HTML and just write websites from scratch. Amersham
Amersham ( ) is a market town and civil parish in Buckinghamshire, England, in the Chiltern Hills, northwest of central London, south-east of Aylesbury and north-east of High Wycombe. Amersham is part of the London commuter belt. ''Never Mind the Buzzcocks'' is a British comedy panel game show with a pop music theme. It has aired on Sky Max since September 2021, having originally aired between November 1996 and January 2015 on BBC Two. The original series was first hosted by Mark Lamarr, then by Simon Amstell, and later by a number of guest presenters, with Rhod Gilbert hosting the final series. ''Rob Brydon's Annually Retentive'' is a British television show, first aired on BBC Three in July 2006. Devised by Paul Duddridge, it concerns the making of a comedy panel game show called ''Annually Retentive'', themed around historical events, and hosted by Welsh comedian Rob Brydon. The show is deliberately parodic, as Brydon plays a hyper-realised (and exaggeratedly nasty) version of himself, while the game show blatantly steals ideas from other, similar shows such as ''Have I Got News for You'', ''Never Mind the Buzzcocks'', ''Mock the Week'' and ''QI''. Format Its show-within-a-show format is reminiscent of ''The Larry Sanders Show'' which explored the blurring of reality and fantasy except with the focus of a talk show as opposed to a panel game. ''FAQ U'' is a television programme that was broadcast by Channel 4 in the United Kingdom in 2005. It was shown every weeknight, Monday to Friday, just after 11:00pm. It was presented by Justin Lee Collins in its first week, David Mitchell in the second and Karen Taylor in the third. It included four comedian guests and an audience. The presenter put "frequently asked questions" to the guests and they answered them in a humorous way. The show's title was frequently pronounced by the presenter as "Fak You". Misty's Big Adventure were an English indie pop band, formed in 1996 in Birmingham by singer-songwriter Gareth Jones (AKA Grandmaster Gareth). Their music incorporated elements of jazz, lounge, psychedelia, 2 tone, pop and punk.
