Pattakkathi Bhairavan
''Pattakkathi Bhairavan'' () is a 1979 Indian Tamil-language film, starring Sivaji Ganesan, Jaiganesh, Sridevi and Jayasudha. It is a remake of the 1978 Telugu film '' Katakataala Rudrayya''. Plot Pattakkathi Bhairavan (Sivaji Ganesan) is a notorious criminal sought by the police for several murders which he commits using his customary dagger (pattakkathi). When in jail, he encounters his adopted father and after an escapade he murders his boss Dharmalingam ( R. S. Manohar), who had ruined his adopted family. He also reunites with his step-sister Deepa (Sridevi) and camouflages himself as Karnan, a rich businessman to deceive the Police. Deepa's close friend (Jayasudha) is Bhairavan's romantic interest, but in a twist, Deepa herself is in love with Police officer Arjunan (Jaiganesh), who is actually on a mission to find and eliminate the elusive Pattakkathi Bhairavan. Thengai Srinivasan
Thengai Srinivasan (21 October 1937 – 9 November 1987) was an Indian actor who appeared in Tamil-language films and plays from the 1960s to the 1980s. He was given the prefix ''Thengai'' (coconut) after his role as a coconut-seller in the play ''Kal Manam''. Although originally a comedian, he also performed in other genres and enacted several lead and antagonistic roles.
