Pasir Ris Town Park
Pasir Ris Town Park is a 14-hectare park located in the residential area of Pasir Ris, Singapore. It features wide open spaces and a large marine pond for fishing. It is the location of Pasir Ris Central Hawker Centre, the second hawker centre in Singapore to be located within a park. Attractions A recreational fishing and prawning center provides fishing and prawning with food and beverages sales. A hawker centre is located within the park and was opened on 25 January 2018. It is the second hawker centre in Singapore to be located within a park after East Coast Lagoon Food Centre. It is managed by NTUC Foodfare and features 42 hawker stalls and 770 seats. Pasir Ris
Pasir Ris is a planning area and residential town located in the East Region of Singapore. It is bordered by Tampines and Paya Lebar to the south, Sengkang to the southwest and Changi to the east. The planning area also shares riverine boundary with Punggol to the west, separated by the Serangoon River, as well as having a maritime boundary with the North-Eastern Islands planning area, across the Straits of Johor. Like other new towns, public transport facilities were factored into the development of Pasir Ris. Pasir Ris is easily accessible via bus services at Pasir Ris Bus Interchange and the Mass Rapid Transit at Pasir Ris MRT station. Pasir Ris MRT Station
Pasir Ris MRT station is an elevated Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the East West line (EWL) in Pasir Ris, Singapore. Situated along Pasir Ris Central adjacent to Pasir Ris Bus Interchange and the White Sands Shopping Mall, it is the eastern terminus of the EWL and, as of June 2021, the only MRT station within Pasir Ris. The station exterior has the characteristic dome-shaped segmented roof also seen on other elevated EWL stations. The station opened on 16 December 1989 as the terminus of the MRT's eastern line extension. In 2016, two maintenance workers were killed on the tracks away from the station. In January 2019, it was announced that the station would become an interchange, with the opening of the Cross Island line (CRL) by 2030. A hawker centre or cooked food centre is an open-air complex commonly found in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. East Coast Lagoon Food Centre
East Coast Park is a beach and a park encompassing Marine Parade, Bedok and Tampines, along the southeastern coast of Singapore. It was opened in the 1970s, after the Singapore government had completed reclaiming land off the coast at Katong which extends from Changi to Kallang. It serves these and other seaside communities.
