Pace Kenya
Pace Kenya ,(Ian Gituku) is a melodious rapper, singer, audio engineer from Kenya. He started music at a very early age of 14 years playing the piano in his primary school, ''Gilgil Hills'' and proceeded to better his musical career onto his secondary school years. Pace worked as a solo artist at Studio 15 and then joined J.M.E Records in 2010 to release his first song ''Go Bananas''. The song won the hearts of his friends and schoolmates who encouraged him to do music full-time. Ian is son to Ngene Gituku. Pace then started studying music production from Duboiz who was an audio engineer at Full anchor music. He worked with Duboiz to release the song Party Pale which gained him some recognition. Pace hired a manager in the year 2013 called ''Lewisko'' who helped him get his music public. In the same year, Pace got highly publicized on newspapers, magazines, online blogs and tv interviews. James "Jim" Wathigo Mburu, (born May 21, 1985), better known by his stage names Jimwat (stylized Jimw@t) and Jimweezy, is a Kenyan genge rapper. Personal life The name Jimwat is coined from his names, James Wathigo. He was brought up in Kabete, Nairobi, Kenya and went to Musa Gitau Primary School and Kikuyu day secondary School, Thogoto. After his O levels he took a computer course and later studied graphic design. He started rapping while he was in Class 7. Music career While still in Form 4, Jimwat went to Calif Records and recorded his first song, ''Sema Nami Sweetie'' ( Sheng for ''talk to me sweetie''). Ogopa Deejays are a Kenyan music production team and record label formed in the late 1990s who gained regional fame and popularity due to standards of their production work. Background The people behind Ogopa DJs are brothers Francis and Lucas Bikedo, and manager Banda. They rarely show their faces in public and do not agree to have their photos taken or published by Kenyan media. The team started out producing hit songs for artists such as Bebe Cool, Chameleone and Redsan. They are widely acclaimed to have helped boost the Kenyan urban music scene from obscurity. Tedd Josiah
Tedd Josiah (born 1970) is a music producer from Kenya. He started as a musician, first briefly with the group Ebony Affair before forming a new group, Hart, in 1993. Early life The group was disbanded in 1995 and Josiah joined ''Sync Sound Studios'' as a producer. In 1999 he left ''Sync Sound Studios'' and formed ''Audio Vault Studios''. It was renamed to ''Blu Zebra'' in 2002. He is credited for producing compilation albums called 'Kenyan, The First Chapter' and 'Kenyan, The Second Chapter'. The two albums featured Hardstone, Kalamashaka, Gidi Gidi Maji Maji, Necessary Noize, In-Tu, Jimmy Gathu, Maina Kageni, Pete Odera, Ndarling P and Ugandan musician Kawesa Josiah is also the founder of Kisima Awards, the premier annual musical awards held in Kenya.
