The Provincial Assembly of Sindh ( ur, ) is a unicameral legislature of elected representatives of the Pakistani province of Sindh, and is located in Karachi, the provincial capital. It was established under Article 106 of the Constitution of Pakistan having a total of 168 seats, with 130 general seats, 29 seats reserved for women and 9 seats reserved for non-Muslims. There was previously a Sind Legislative Assembly in the Sind Province of British India and in the early years of the state of Pakistan. Tando Allahyar ( sd, ٽنڊوالهيار, ur, ) is a city and capital of Tando Allahyar District located in Sindh, Pakistan. It is the 56th largest city of Pakistan by population according to the 2017 census. Chambar, or Chamber, is a town of Tando Allahyar District in the Sindh province of Pakistan. It is headquarters of Chamber Taluka (an administrative subdivision of the district). Tando Allahyar District
Tando Allahyar District ( sd, ٽنڊوالهيار ضلعو, ur, ) is a district in the province of Sindh in Pakistan. Prior to becoming a separate district, it was part of Hyderabad District. History The city of Tando Allahyar, was established with the construction of a fort by Mir Allahyar Khan Talpur in 1709. A large number of people seeking security and refuge moved to this area under the protection of the Mir, booming the trade in the region. As the city developed over the next decade, the area started to be known as Allahyar Jo Tando (Allahyar's Town). The shrine of legendary Sindhi folk wisdom character and Sufi poet Watayu Faqeer is also situated in Kuba Shareef near Rashidabad. 2024 Sindh Provincial Election
Provincial elections were held in Sindh on 8 February 2024 to elect a new provincial legislature.
