PCL-161
The PCL-161 is a truck-mounted self-propelled howitzer used by the Chinese People's Liberation Army Ground Force. The designation "PCL" is an acronym derived from pinyin (). Development The PCL-161 was first unveiled while doing exercises in the Tibet Autonomous Region in October 2020. It is speculated to be a successor of the 122 mm truck-mounted howitzer PCL-09. Design PCL-161 features a 122 mm howitzer with semi-automatic loader and digital fire-control system. The range is with conventional ammunition and with rocket-assisted projectiles. It features various improvements over the PCL-09, including better firing accuracy, and the ability to fire directly in the forward direction of the vehicle. FAW MV3
The FAW MV3 is the third generation military truck developed by First Automobile Works (FAW). Since 2011, FAW MV3 is the standardized military truck used widely by the Chinese People's Liberation Army. The utility truck has two configurations, 4x4 and more commonly 6x6, both featuring cross-country mobility. The truck also comes with options on single or double armored cabs. It's the Chinese equivalent of US Army M939 and MTVR. The PCL-09, exported as CS/SH1, is a Chinese truck-mounted self-propelled howitzer used by the People's Liberation Army Ground Force. The armoured fighting vehicle is developed by Norinco and was first commissioned in 2009 with a 122 mm gun-howitzer using projectiles with a range of and a firing rate of 6–8 rounds per minute. Mounted on a Shaanxi SX2150 6×6 truck, it is also equipped with the satellite navigation system BeiDou. The PCL-181 is a Chinese truck-mounted, 155 mm self-propelled howitzer used by the People's Liberation Army Ground Force (PLAGF). The designation "PCL" is an acronym derived from pinyin (). Development The PCL-181 made its first public appearance during the 70th Chinese National Day Parade on 1 October 2019. It was designed to replace the 152 mm PL-66 towed gun-howitzer and the 130 mm Type 59-1 towed field guns used by the PLAGF and will complement the PLZ-05, and improve upon its functionality in many ways.
