Oyoko Methodist Senior High School
Oyoko Methodist Senior High School (abbreviated OMESS) is a high school located in Oyoko, Koforidua, Eastern Region of Ghana. It was established in 1989 as a successor of Oyoko Methodist Agricultural Secondary School (OMASS) and included to the public educational system in 1993. The educational subjects are divided to 6 fields: #Agricultural science #Business #General arts #Pure science #Home economics #Visual arts Students participate in various public activities including planting trees, in 2008 they planted about 1,500 seedlings of various tree species to mark the World Environment Day Celebration. The school equipment is partly donated by various institutions and private donors, in November 2011 OMESS received 50 laptops from Ministry of Environment of Ghana. Oyoko is a small community in the New-Juaben Municipal District of the Eastern Region of Ghana. It lies 4 km north from Koforidua, the regional capital. New-Juaben Municipal District
New Juaben Municipal District is a former district that was located in Eastern Region, Ghana. Originally created as a municipal district assembly in 1988. However on 1 November 2017 (effective 15 March 2018), it was split out into two new municipal districts: New Juaben South Municipal District (capital: Koforidua) and New Juaben North Municipal District (capital: Effiduase). The municipality was located in the central part of Eastern Region and had Koforidua as its capital town. Geography New Juaben Municipal District fell within Eastern Region of Ghana. New Juaben Municipality covered an estimated area of 110 square kilometers constituting 0.57% of the total land area of Eastern Region. Eastern Region (Ghana)
The Eastern Region is located in south Ghana and is one of the sixteen administrative regions of Ghana.
