Oppsal Arena
Oppsal is a suburb in the borough of Østensjø in Oslo, Norway. The modern history of Oppsal starts with villas and summer homes built during the Interwar period. The Oslo Tramway was extended to Oppsal in 1926. Oppsal was developed as a planned suburb after World War II, and the first apartment block was built in 1954. The suburb got its own church in 1961, and a shopping mall opened in 1964. The Norwegian Football Cup ( no, Norgesmesterskapet i fotball for herrer) is the main knockout cup competition in Norwegian football. It is run by the Football Association of Norway and has been contested since 1902, making it the oldest football tournament in the country. The tournament is commonly known as ''Cupen'' ("The Cup"), NM or NM Cup (''NM Cupen''), an acronym formed from ''Norgesmesterskap'' ("Norwegian Championship"). These terms are used to describe both the men's and women's competitions. The equivalent competition for women's teams is the Norwegian Women's Football Cup. The Norwegian Football Federation ( nb, Norges Fotballforbund, nn, Noregs Fotballforbund; NFF) is the governing body of football in Norway. Frida Nåmo Rønning
Frida Nåmo Rønning (born 3 February 1997) is a Norwegian handball player who plays for Borussia Dortmund Handball. Handball career Frida Nåmo Rønning started playing handball at the age of six in her native town with Oppsal. A few days after her 16th birthday, she signed a contract with the women's team playing in Norway's top division of Oppsal IF. After Rønning suffered a cruciate ligament injury in August 2015, she had to stop playing for a time. Rønning later won a gold medal in 2017 with Oppsal's junior team. In the match playing for that gold medal against Sola HK she scored four goals.
