Orzowei
''Orzowei'' is a 1955 novel by Italian writer Alberto Manzi. It is an anti-racist educational story set in Southern Africa. Adaptations of the novel include a movie (''Orzowei, il figlio della savana'', 1976) and a popular TV series (1977). Plot Isa is a white boy who is abandoned in the jungle somewhere in Southern Africa. He is found and adopted by an old couple of a Swazi tribe. Isa is somewhat isolated in the tribe because of his white skin, and gets nicknamed "Orzowei", "the foundling"; his main antagonist is Mesei, the chief's son. Also because of his white skin, Isa is not accepted in the warrior society, despite successfully completing a painful initiation rite. He ultimately chooses to leave the village, and later joins a tribe of Bushmen. The wise Bushman Pao accepts him in his family and teaches him love and respect for all people, independent of colour. Stanley Baker
Sir William Stanley Baker (28 February 192828 June 1976) was a Welsh actor and film producer. Known for his rugged appearance and intense, grounded screen persona, he was one of the top British male film stars of the late 1950s, and later a producer. Born into a coal mining family in Glamorgan, Baker began his acting career in the West End. Following national service in the Royal Army Service Corps after the Second World War, he befriended actor Richard Burton and began appearing in film and television roles. Alberto Manzi (; Rome, 3 November 1924 – Pitigliano, 4 December 1997) was an Italians, Italian school teacher, writer and television host, best known for being the art director of ''Non è mai troppo tardi'' (Italian for ''It's never too late''), an educational TV programme broadcast between 1959 and 1968. Biography He attended navy studies before ending his primary training high school degree and followed a peculiar path of studies, achieving three academic degrees: in biology, pedagogy and philosophy. He worked as an educator in a teenage prison in Rome before a full-time job as a primary school teacher.
