Orange (animation Studio)
is a Japanese animation studio based in Musashino, Tokyo that specializes in the production of 3DCG animation. The studio is known for its exaggerated 3D and directing style, which differs from the traditional movement often found in CG works. On December 19, 2024, it was announced that Toho would acquire a 19.7% stake in the studio which was completed on January 17, 2025. Establishment Eiji Inomoto, a CG animator who had become somewhat well known for his work on '' Zoids: Chaotic Century'' and '' Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex'' (as one of the main Tachikoma 3D Unit members), founded Orange on May 1, 2004. is a Japanese animation studio, founded on March 3, 2008, by former Production I.G and Bones members and based in Suginami, Tokyo. Its business directors are Muneki Ogasawara, Yuichiro Matsuka and Masaki Tachibana. Land Of The Lustrous (TV Series)
is a 2017 Japanese anime television series based on Haruko Ichikawa's manga series Land of the Lustrous, of the same name. It is produced by the computer graphics (CG) animation studio Orange (animation studio), Orange and directed and written by Takahiko Kyōgoku and Toshiya Ono, respectively. It follows the Lustrous – immortal humanoid lifeforms who are the embodiments of gemstones – who fight to defend themselves against a celestial humanoid race known as the Lunarians, who seek to harvest their bodies for decorations. Phosphophyllite is the youngest of the Lustrous, and is given the task to assemble a natural history since they are too brittle to fight. Orange created the series with 3D animation as a base, a decision made partially due to the difficulty in depicting translucent gemstones using hand-drawn animation. Yūji Iwahara
is a Japanese manga artist. After graduating from art school, he joined Hudson Soft as a graphic artist for video games such as '' Mega Bomberman'' and '' Kishin Dōji Zenki FX: Vajra Fight''. He made his manga debut in 1994 in ''Afternoon'' with a story for which he won the fall Afternoon Four Seasons Award, a prize he received three more times over the next two years. Production IMS
, or Production IMS, was a Japanese animation studio established on February 14, 2013, by former staff members from AIC Spirits. Its headquarters were located in Nerima, Tokyo, Japan. Financial problems On December 20, 2017, animator Teru Miyazaki posted then deleted a tweet on Twitter stating that an anime studio, implied to be Production IMS, was not paying its animators. On June 7 the following year, credit research company Tokyo Shoko Research reported that Production IMS began consolidating its debts and that the staff was considering filing for bankruptcy. Masayuki Kojima
is a Japanese animator, storyboard artist, and director, best known for directing the acclaimed anime series ''Monster (manga), Monster'' and ''Made in Abyss''.
