Omar Salgado
Omar Salgado (born September 10, 1993) is an American soccer player. Career Club Salgado began his career at the youth ranks of top Mexican club Guadalajara. Before that, he played for the El Paso Texas Fire Soccer club and attended Cathedral High School He courted controversy when he left the Mexican club side to pursue a career with the United States U-20 national team. He had previously represented Mexico at U-20 and U-17 level. Salgado signed with Major League Soccer shortly after leaving Chivas and was made eligible for the 2011 MLS SuperDraft. In the meantime, he trained with the Vancouver Whitecaps, Portland Timbers and Everton. He was chosen first overall in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft by Vancouver, and made his professional debut on April 10, 2011 in a game against Houston Dynamo. The 2011 MLS SuperDraft was the twelfth annual SuperDraft presented by Major League Soccer. It was held on January 13, 2011 in Baltimore, Maryland, during the 2011 NSCAA Convention at the Baltimore Convention Center. 2010 Milk Cup
The 2010 Northern Ireland Youth Soccer Tournament was the 2010 edition of a prestigious youth association football tournament that has been running annually since 1983. Teams from around the world competed in a week-long tournament in the North Coast area of Northern Ireland. The teams were divided into three categories: Elite, Premier, and Junior for Under-19s, Under-17s and Under-15s respectively. The 2010 Milk Cup Tournament ran between the 26 and 30 July 2010, with Northern Ireland (Elite), Manchester United (Premier) and Everton (Junior) all returning to defend their 2009 titles. 2014 MLS Expansion Draft
The 2014 MLS Expansion Draft was a draft for the Major League Soccer expansion teams New York City FC and Orlando City SC that took place between November 19 and December 10, 2014. The first two rounds of the draft (which were known as the 2014 MLS Dispersal Draft) were held to distribute players who were formerly contracted with Chivas USA, which was dissolved by the league in October 2014 shortly after the end of the 2014 MLS season.
