Oleksandr Drabynko
Metropolitan Oleksandr (, secular name Oleksandr Mykolayovych Drabynko, ; born 18 March 1977) is a metropolitan bishop of Pereyaslav and Vyshneve of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. His full title is His Eminence Oleksandr, Metropolitan of Pereyeslav-Vyshneve. For a long time Oleksandr Drabynko was a personal secretary of Volodymyr Sabodan. According to Metropolitan Jonathan Yeletskykh, “being the personal secretary of His Beatitude Volodymyr, he practically ruled the entire UOC and even shaped the course of the UOC. The Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), commonly referred to by the exonym Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP), is an Eastern Orthodox Church, Eastern Orthodox church in Ukraine. The Ukrainian Orthodox Church was officially formed in 1990 in place of the Ukrainian Exarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC), under the leadership of Metropolitan Filaret Denysenko, Filaret, as the Ukrainian branch of the Russian Orthodox Church. Moscow Theological Academy () is a higher educational institution of the Russian Orthodox Church, training clergy, teachers, scholars, and officials. The Academy traces its origin to the Slavic Greek Latin Academy, which was founded in 1685 by the Greek Lichud brothers. In Christianity, Christian Christian denomination, churches with episcopal polity, the rank of metropolitan bishop, or simply metropolitan (alternative obsolete form: metropolite), is held by the diocesan bishop or archbishop of a Metropolis (religious jurisdiction), metropolis.
