Offshoot Films
Offshoot Films is a Suffolk-based digital media company. Formed in 2006, the company provided film editing facilities for such Cinema of Australia, Australian films as ''The Last Days of Chez Nous'' and ''Spotswood (film), Spotswood''. The company also provided video productions for high schools such as Ipswich High School (Suffolk), Ipswich High School and Whitton School. One such production, made by students at Sudbury Upper School and Great Cornard Upper School, was a commercial urging high school students to make the choice of post-secondary education or training that best suits them. Offshoot has partnered with primary schools as well to found a project which allows students from the ages of five to eleven create their own films and take them home on DVDs. Film editing is both a creative and a technical part of the post-production process of filmmaking. The term is derived from the traditional process of working with film stock, film which increasingly involves the use Digital cinema, of digital technology. When putting together some sort of video composition, typically, one would need a collection of shots and footages that vary from one another. The act of adjusting the shots someone has already taken, and turning them into something new is known as film editing. Ipswich High School is a co-educational private school for day and boarding pupils between the ages of 3 and 19 at Woolverstone Hall near Ipswich, England. Formerly a private school for girls, it was converted to co-education in 2018.
