Occupational Outlook Handbook
The ''Occupational Outlook Handbook'' (''OOH'') is a publication of the United States Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics that includes information about the nature of work, working conditions, training and education, earnings and job outlook for hundreds of different occupations in the United States. It is released biennially with a companion publication, the ''Career Guide to Industries'' and is available free of charge from thBureau of Labor Statistics' website!--[adverty:], where there is easy searchability, browsing options, and an alphabetical index. Global Career Development Facilitator
Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) is a certification from the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE), a Certification Entity, for persons working in career development and advisory fields. There is an official list of CCE Approved Providers of Training cited below. The certification requires over 120 hours plus educational and experience requirements. It is an evolution of the Career Development Facilitator (CDF) certification developed in response to a RFP from the National Occupational Information Coordinating Committee (NOICC) during 1992. The Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) System is a United States government system for classifying occupations. It is used by U.S. federal government agencies collecting occupational data, enabling comparison of occupations across data sets. The Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a self-report questionnaire that makes pseudoscientific claims to categorize individuals into 16 distinct "psychological types" or "personality types". The MBTI was constructed during World War II by Americans Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers, inspired by Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung's 1921 book ''Psychological Types''. The test assigns a binary value to each of four categories: introversion or extraversion, sensing or intuition, thinking or feeling, and judging or perceiving.
