Nurul Islam Shishu
Nurul Islam Shishu is a retired General of Bangladesh Army, a veteran of the Bangladesh Liberation war, and former Bangladesh Nationalist Party politician. He served as the Minister of Agriculture under President Ziaur Rahman. He was considered to be President Ziaur Rahman's most trusted companion. Career Shishu had joined the Pakistan Army and reached the rank of Major. He served in the Inter-Services Intelligence. He was sent to East Pakistan to gather information for the ISI; which he deliberately sabotaged by disclosing his affiliation with the intelligence agency. He joined the Mukti Bahini and fought in the Bangladesh Liberation war. After the Independence of Bangladesh, he served as the defence attaché at the Bangladesh Embassy to Myanmar. The Principal Staff Officer, abbreviated as PSO, is the principal assistant and chief of staff to the head of the Armed Forces Division, usually the prime minister, of Bangladesh, the high command of the national armed forces. It is currently held by a three-star rank lieutenant general. Role and functions The Principal Staff Officer is the head of Armed Forces Division, which is part of the Prime Minister's Office. He is assisted by a PS (acting PSO) & five departmental heads each one star rank military officer from Bangladesh Armed Forces. Under the direct supervision and guidance of the Prime Minister he has the authority, direction, and control over all operational and administrative services. Inter-Services Intelligence
The Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI; ur, , bayn khadamatiy mukhabarati) is the premier intelligence agency of Pakistan. It is responsible for gathering, processing, and analyzing any information from around the world that is deemed relevant to Pakistan's national security. As one of the principal members of the Pakistani intelligence community, the ISI reports to its Director-General and is primarily focused on providing intelligence to the Pakistani government. The ISI primarily consists of serving military officers drawn on secondment from the three service branches of the Pakistan Armed Forces (i.e. the Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy, and Pakistan Air Force), hence the name "Inter-Services"; however, the agency also recruits many civilians.
