North Sails is an international sailmaker and sailing wear company with operations in 29 countries. The company designs, engineers and manufactures sails for racing and cruising sailboats from 8 feet (2.5m) to more-than 200 feet (60m) in length. Licensees manufacture clothing and windsurfing sails. North Sails is the world’s largest sailmaker, with annual sales of $150 million in 2011. Sails by North Sails are used by the majority of competitors in the Ocean Race and the America’s Cup. Terry Kohler
Terry Kohler (May 14, 1934 – September 20, 2016) was a member of the Kohler family of Wisconsin and an American businessman, Wisconsin Republican Party leader, sportsman, philanthropist, and conservationist. Early life Terry Kohler was born on May 14, 1934, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. His father was Walter J. Kohler, Jr. (1904–76), a sales executive at the Kohler Company, president of The Vollrath Company, and a three-term Governor of Wisconsin. Robert Bentley Haines, Jr. (born March 27, 1954) is an American sailor and Olympic champion. Born in San Diego, California, he has won seven world championships in 4 different class of boats. He was associate producer and sailing team manager for the Walt Disney film "Morning Light". He was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal for being a member of the 1980 US Olympic Sailing Team, which did not compete in the Soviet Union (Estonia) due to the boycott of the Olympic Games that year by President Jimmy Carter. John Marshall (sailor)
John Knox Marshall (born April 9, 1942 in Santiago, Chile) is an American competitive sailor and Olympic medalist. He won a bronze medal in the Dragon class at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, together with Donald Cohan and Charles Horter. Peter Barrett (sailor)
Peter Jones Barrett (February 20, 1935 – December 17, 2000) was an American sailor and Olympic champion. He competed at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City, where he received a gold medal in the star class with the boat ''North Star'', together with Lowell North. He won the silver medal in the finn class at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. He also competed in the Finn event at the 1960 Summer Olympics. Hans Marius Fogh (8 March 1938 – 14 March 2014) was one of the most successful competitive sailors in history, with dozens of national and international championships and in many different classes, including two Olympic medals.
