Nigel Martin Evans (born 10 November 1957) is a British politician serving as the Member of Parliament (United Kingdom), Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ribble Valley (UK Parliament constituency), Ribble Valley constituency in Lancashire since 1992 United Kingdom general election, 1992. A member of the Conservative Party (UK), Conservative Party, he was Joint Executive Secretary of the 1922 committee, 1922 Committee from 2017 to 2019. He served as Chairman of Ways and Means, First Deputy Chairman of Ways and Means, one of the Speaker of the House of Commons (United Kingdom), Speaker's three deputies, from 2010 to 2013. He was elected as Second Deputy Chairman of Ways and Means in 2020. He is a strong critic of the European Union and supported Brexit in the 2016 United Kingdom European Union membership referendum, 2016 EU Referendum.
