Nicole Broch Estrup () (born 14 May 1993) is a Danish professional golfer who plays on the Ladies European Tour (LET). Broch Estrup won her first LET event at the 2015 Helsingborg Open. Broch Estrup was the 2015 LET Player of the Year. She gained an LPGA Tour card for 2017 via the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament. Ladies European Tour
The Ladies European Tour is a professional golf tour for women which was founded in 1978. It is based at Buckinghamshire Golf Club near London in England. Like many UK-based sports organisations it is a company limited by guarantee, a legal structure which enables it to focus on maximising returns to its members through prize money, rather than on making profits for investors. The tour is run by a Board of Directors and a Players' Council. Most of the players on the tour are European, with members from more than 40 countries internationally. The tour operates tournaments across five continents. History The U.S.-based LPGA was founded in 1950, but women's professional golf was slower to get established in Europe. The 2013 European Ladies' Team Championship took place 9–13 July at Fulford Golf Club in Fulford, England. It was the 30th women's golf amateur European Ladies' Team Championship. Venue The hosting Fulford Golf Club was founded in 1906. The golf course, located 2 kilometers (approximately 1 mile) south of York, North Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom, was designed by Charles MacKenzie, brother of well known golf course architect Alister MacKenzie, and opened in 1935. Fulford had previously been home to several European Tour events, including the Benson and Hedges International Open between 1971 and 1989. In 1976 the club hosted the inaugural Women's British Open. The Vagliano Trophy is a biennial women's amateur golf tournament. It is co-organised by The R&A and the European Golf Association and is contested by teams representing "Great Britain and Ireland" and the "Continent of Europe". It is played in odd-numbered years; the Curtis Cup being played in even-numbered years. The event started in 1931 as a match between Great Britain and France. It was played annually from 1931 to 1939 and from 1947 to 1949, before becoming a biennial event from 1949 to 1957. Britain won 15 of the 16 matches with the 1934 match being tied. From 1949 to 1957 Great Britain had also played a biennial match against Belgium. In 1959 the two matches were replaced by one with Britain playing a team representing the Continent of Europe, the Vagliano Trophy being used for the new event. The 2012 Espirito Santo Trophy took place 27–30 September at the Gloria Golf Club, on its New Course and Old Course in Antalya, Turkey. It was the 25th women's golf World Amateur Team Championship for the Espirito Santo Trophy. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event. There were a record 53 team entries, each with two or three players. Each team played two rounds at the New Course and two rounds at the Old Course. The leading teams played the fourth round at the Old Course. The best two scores for each round counted towards the team total. Team South Korea successfully defended their title from two years ago, winning the Trophy for the third time, with a 13-under-par score of 563, three strokes ahead of silver medalist team Germany. Espirito Santo Trophy
The Espirito Santo Trophy (World Women's Amateur Team Championships) is a biennial world amateur team golf championship for women organised by the International Golf Federation. The inaugural event was held in 1964. It was instituted by the French Golf Federation in an agreement with the United States Golf Association. It was planned by Lally Segard, at the time known as Vicomtesse de Saint Sauveur, from France and Mrs. Henri Prunaret from America. Segard also asked her friends Ricardo and Silvia Espirito Santo, from Portugal, to donate a trophy for the event, which they did. They had originally bought the golden cup, which had belonged to Tsar Nicholas II of Russia, for an international Portuguese event that was not played anymore.
