Nick Zakelj
Nick Zakelj (born June 22, 1999) is an American football offensive tackle for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Fordham. College career Zakelj was a member of the Fordham Rams for five seasons. He became a starter at tackle during his freshman season. Zakelj was named first-team All- Patriot League in each of his final three seasons. Tackle is a playing position in gridiron football. Historically, in the one-platoon system prevalent in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, a tackle played on both offense and defense. In the modern system of specialized units, offensive tackle and defensive tackle are separate positions, and the stand-alone term "tackle" refers to the offensive tackle position only. The offensive tackle (OT, T) is a position on the offensive line, left and right. The 2022 NFL Draft was the 87th edition of the National Football League's annual draft and was held from April 28–30, 2022, at the Caesars Forum on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. The first round was held on Thursday, April 28, and was followed by the second and third rounds on Friday, April 29. The draft concluded with rounds 4–7 on Saturday, April 30.
