Nick Takes Over Your School
''Nick Takes Over Your School'' is the title of a Nickelodeon Australia reality show that ran from 1998 - 2004. Format Nickelodeon Australia Personalities would visit schools around Australia, have a look around, and feature a game with kids vs. teachers. The teachers would generally lose, and kids were given pieces of Nickelodeon Merchandise. Host Lizzie Trevan hosted the first six series. In the seventh series of the show, Dave Lawson, a well known Nickelodeon Australia Personality, was the host. Cancellation After the seventh series of the show, Nickelodeon Australia decided to cancel "Nick Takes Over Your School" to focus more on "Sarvo" and "Saturday Nick Television". Saturday Nick Television was cancelled one year later. Dave Lawson
Dave Lawson (born 25 September 1978) is an Australian comedian, actor, and TV and radio personality. He is a regular performer on the stand up comedy circuit, and at one time participated in a talk back radio segment on the commercial radio station Nova 100. Early life Lawson grew up in the Bayside area of Melbourne and completed his secondary education at Haileybury College. He performed in the band Born Backwards. Career Lawson is known for his long involvement in hosting the Nickelodeon Australia shows '' Saturday Nick Television'', ''Sarvo'', '' Nick Takes Over Your School'' and ''Camp Orange''. He also co-hosted with fellow ''Sarvo'' host James Kerley and Sophie Monk for the 2006 Nickelodeon Australian Kids' Choice Awards. ''Sarvo'' was an after-school show for kids on Nickelodeon (New Zealand), it was hosted by Maude Garrett and Kyle Linahan, until it was cancelled in 2008. It acted as a wrapper program (a show which features other shows within it) to the most popular programs on Nickelodeon. ''Saturday Nick TV'' (commonly referred to as ''sn:tv'') was a weekend morning show aired on Nickelodeon Australia from 10am to 2pm on Saturday. It was produced by Burberry Productions and shot in Melbourne. It was started with the help of Britney Spears. Format The show was the Australian version of the highly popular SMTV Live in the UK hosted originally by Ant & Dec and Cat Deeley. ''Camp Orange'' was an Australian children's reality television show broadcast on Nickelodeon. The first season premiered in February 2005.
