Nevermen
Nevermen is an American music group. It consists of Tunde Adebimpe, Mike Patton, and Adam " Doseone" Drucker. It was listed by '' Paste'' as one of the "20 Best New Bands of 2015". History Nevermen was formed in 2008, when Adam " Doseone" Drucker jammed with Tunde Adebimpe in a Brooklyn warehouse. Later, the two sent some of the music to Mike Patton. The trio refined the recordings with one another over the years. On August 5, 2015, Nevermen released their debut track, "Tough Towns". It was, according to Doseone, "dedicated to anyone remotely young, feeling inexplicably inspired in the 'nowhere' they are from." On December 4, 2015, the group released another track, "Mr Mistake". Boards of Canada released a remix of the song on January 12, 2016. On January 22, 2016, the group released the third track, "Hate On". ''Nevermen'' is the debut studio album by Nevermen. It was released via Ipecac Recordings and Lex Records on January 29, 2016. It debuted at number 9 on ''Billboard''s Heatseekers Albums chart. The artwork was designed by Keith Tyson. A music video was created for "Mr Mistake". Critical reception At Metacritic, which assigns a weighted average score out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the album received an average score of 69, based on 19 reviews, indicating "generally favorable reviews". Robert Ham of '' Alternative Press'' gave the album 3.5 stars out of 5, saying, "Musically, their individual sensibilities mash together into delicious thick swirls of modern electronica, but their insistence on including everyone's vocals in each song turns out to be more dizzying than necessary." Michael Allan Patton (born January 27, 1968) is an American singer, producer, film composer and voice actor, best known as the lead vocalist of the alternative metal band Faith No More. Noted for his vocal proficiency, diverse singing techniques, wide range of projects, style-transcending influences, eccentric public image and contempt for the music industry, Patton has earned critical praise and influenced many contemporary singers. Babatunde Omoroga Adebimpe (born February 26, 1975) is an American musician, singer-songwriter, actor, director, and visual artist best known as the lead singer of the Brooklyn-based band TV on the Radio. Early life Adebimpe was born into a Nigerian immigrant family in the United States. Babatunde is a Yoruba name that means "father has returned". He is married to French cartoonist Domitille Collardey, with whom he has a son. He attended Shady Side Academy in Fox Chapel, Pennsylvania for high school, where he is still active on the board. His deceased father was a psychiatrist in Pittsburgh. Adam Drucker (born April 21, 1977), better known by his stage name Doseone, is an American rapper, producer, poet and artist. He is a co-founder of the indie hip hop record label Anticon.
