The Zec Batiscan-Neilson is a "zone d'exploitation contrôlée" (Controlled Harvesting Zone), ("ZEC" in French) located in the unorganized territory of Lac-Blanc, in Portneuf Regional County Municipality, in the administrative area of the Capitale-Nationale, on the north shore of St. Lawrence River, in Quebec, Canada. History In 1978, following the abolition of private clubs by the Government of Québec, Zec Batiscan-Neilson was incorporated. Geography The territory of the ZEC is part of the watershed of Sainte-Anne River which flows into the St. Lawrence River at Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade. Neilson Township
The Neilson Township is located in the unorganized territory of Lac-Blanc in Portneuf Regional County Municipality, in the administrative region of the Capitale-Nationale, in Quebec, in Canada. Geography Located on the north shore of Saint Lawrence River, about fifty miles northwest of Quebec City, the territory of the township is irregularly shaped. It is an extension of the lordship Saint-Gabriel and fief Hubert. This township is part of Portneuf Regional County Municipality. William Neilson Dairy Limited is a Canadian dairy company owned by Saputo Inc. The company is based in Toronto, Ontario. In the United States, its products are sold under the name Neilson. Its products are sold at Loblaws, Real Canadian Superstore, Giant Tiger, and Fortinos, among others. History The company was founded by William Neilson (1844–1915) in 1893 as one of many independent dairy producers in Canada. Neilsons began as a milk retailer, and then switched to cream and ice cream products. Neilson Dairy became William Neilson Limited in 1907. Neilson And Company
Neilson and Company was a locomotive manufacturer in Glasgow, Scotland. The company was started in 1836 at McAlpine Street by Walter Neilson and James Mitchell to manufacture marine and stationary engines. In 1837 the firm moved to Hyde Park Street and was known as Kerr, Mitchell and Neilson and, in 1840, Kerr, Neilson and Company, becoming Neilson and Mitchell in 1843. Locomotive building began in 1843 for the local railways. In 1855 production of marine and stationary engines discontinued and the company changed its name again to Neilson and Company. Among those who later became notable in the field were Henry Dübs and Patrick Stirling. By 1861, business had increased to such an extent, that a new works was built at Springburn, also named "Hyde Park Works."
