National Drug Intelligence Center
The United States National Drug Intelligence Center (NDIC), established in 1993, was a component of the U.S. Department of Justice and a member of the Intelligence Community. ThGeneral Counterdrug Intelligence Plan implemented in February 2000, designated NDIC as the nation's principal center for strategic domestic counterdrug intelligence. The NDIC ceased to exist on June 16, 2012. Its former DOMEX and strategic analysis functions transferred over to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Drug Enforcement Administration
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA; ) is a United States federal law enforcement agency under the U.S. Department of Justice tasked with combating drug trafficking and distribution within the U.S. It is the lead agency for domestic enforcement of the Controlled Substances Act, sharing concurrent jurisdiction with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection although the DEA has sole responsibility for coordinating and pursuing U.S. drug investigations both domestically and abroad. The DEA has an intelligence unit that is also a member of the U.S. Intelligence Community. The Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) is a component of the Executive Office of the President of the United States. The Director of the ONDCP, colloquially known as the Drug Czar, heads the office. "Drug Czar" was a term first used in the media by Richard Nixon in 1971. In addition to running the ONDCP, the director evaluates, coordinates, and oversees both the international and domestic anti-drug efforts of executive branch agencies and ensures that such efforts sustain and complement State and local anti-drug activities. William Bennett
William John Bennett (born July 31, 1943) is an American conservative politician and political commentator who served as secretary of education from 1985 to 1988 under President Ronald Reagan. He also held the post of director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy under George H. W. Bush. Early life and education Bennett was born July 31, 1943 to a Catholic family in Brooklyn, the son of Nancy ('' née'' Walsh), a medical secretary, and F. Robert Bennett, a banker. Johnstown is a city in Cambria County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 18,411 as of the 2020 census. HashKeeper is a database application of value primarily to those conducting forensic examinations of computers on a somewhat regular basis. Overview HashKeeper uses the MD5 file signature algorithm to establish unique numeric identifiers (hash values) for files "known to be good" and "known to be bad." The HashKeeper application was developed to reduce the amount of time required to examine files on digital media. Once an examiner defines a file as known to be good, the examiner need not repeat that analysis. HashKeeper compares hash values of known to be good files against the hash values of files on a computer system.
