Nanou (film)
''Nanou'' is a 1986 Franco-British feature film directed by Conny Templeman. It stars Imogen Stubbs, Jean-Philippe Écoffey, Michel Robin and Daniel Day-Lewis. Plot In the 1970s, a blonde English student, Nanou, spends just a few months on the continent. She tours Switzerland, but prefers France. In Lorraine, she meets Luc, a handsome worker in the militant extreme left-wing, and trains with him in his activities outside the law. She gradually moves into the French village and lives out her activist life on the sidelines until England remembers her ... Imogen Stubbs
Imogen Stubbs (born 20 February 1961) is an English actress and writer. Her first leading part was in '' Privileged'' (1982), followed by '' A Summer Story'' (1988). Her first play, '' We Happy Few'', was produced in 2004. In 2008 she joined ''Reader's Digest'' as a contributing editor and writer of fiction. Early life Imogen Stubbs was born in Rothbury, Northumberland, lived briefly in Portsmouth, Hampshire, where her father was a naval officer, and then moved with her parents to London, where they lived on a vintage river barge on the Thames. She was educated at Cavendish Primary School, then at two independent schools: St Paul's Girls' School and Westminster School, where Stubbs was one of the girls in the mixed sixth form, and Exeter College, Oxford, gaining a First Class degree. Patrick O'Connell (actor)
Patrick O’Connell (29 January 1934 – 10 August 2017) was an Irish actor. O'Connell began his acting career appearing in various films, such as the Brian Keith war "The McKenzie Break" (1970), "Cromwell" (1970), and the Simon Rouse drama "The Ragman's Daughter" (1972). He also appeared in "The Human Factor" (1980) with Nicol Williamson, the drama "Runners" (1983) with Kate Hardie, and the horror feature "Dream Demon" (1988) with Kathleen Wilhoite. His film career continued throughout the eighties and the nineties in productions like the drama "Nanou" (1988) with Imogen Stubbs and "Don't Get Me Started" (1993). Anna Cropper (also Roache; 13 May 1938 – 22 January 2007) was an English stage and television actress. Early years Cropper was born in Brierfield, Lancashire, the daughter of Margaret, a stage actress and director, and Jack Cropper, a dentist.
