Nabil Adamou
Nabil Adamou (born 8 April 1975) is a retired Algerian long jumper. At the 1995 African Junior Championships he won the triple jump and won the silver medal in the long jump. He won bronze medals in the long jump at the 2002 and 2004 African Championships. He became Algerian champion in 1995 and 2002, facing competition from the likes of Lotfi Khaïda, Farid Hassa, Féthi Amira, Rédouane Youcef and Issam Nima. Athletics is a group of sporting events that involves competitive running, jumping, throwing sports, throwing, and walking. The most common types of athletics competitions are track and field, road running, cross country running, and racewalking. African Championships In Athletics
The African Championships in Athletics is a continental athletics event organized by the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA), the continental association for the sport in Africa. Since its inaugural edition in 1979 it was at first organised intermittently with nine editions held in fourteen years until 1993. Following the tenth edition in 1996 it has been organised biennially on even years, and is always held in the same year as the Summer Olympics. The 14th African Championships in Athletics were held in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo in July, 2004. Since African Championships is a biennial event, this edition was contested only a month before 2004 Summer Olympics. Thus some top athletes shunned the event. Long Jump
The long jump is a track and field event in which athletes combine speed, strength and agility in an attempt to leap as far as possible from a takeoff point. Along with the triple jump, the two events that measure jumping for distance as a group are referred to as the "horizontal jumps". The triple jump, sometimes referred to as the hop, step and jump or the hop, skip and jump, is a track and field event, similar to the long jump. As a group, the two events are referred to as the "horizontal jumps". The competitor runs down the track and performs a hop, a bound and then a jump into the sand pit. Lotfi Khaïda ( ar, لطفي خيدا, born 20 December 1968) is a retired Algerian long jumper and triple jumper. At the 1988 African Championships he won the triple jump silver medal and the long jump bronze medal. He won bronze medals in the triple jump at the 1991 and 1993 Mediterranean Games, and won the long jump at the 1992 Pan Arab Games. He competed in both long and triple jump at the 1988 Olympic Games, and in triple jump at the 1992 Olympic Games without reaching the final.
