Naane Raja (1984 Film)
''Nane Raja'' is a 1984 Indian Kannada-language film, directed by C. V. Rajendran and produced by M. P. Shankar. The film stars V. Ravichandran, Ambika, Jai Jagadish, and Ambareesh. The film's musical score was done by Shankar-Ganesh. The film was remade in Telugu as ''Chiranjeevi'' (1985). Plot Raja is the son of a Police commissioner and admires his father very much. He falls in love with a singer Asha who performs at his birthday party. Asha rejects his approaches. A few days later, Raja goes to see Asha at her home to convey his feelings. Asha rejects him again and belittles him and his father. Hearing her rather rash words at his father, Raja gets enraged and slaps Asha. In a freak accident, she dies immediately. What follows next is a series of murders that Raja commits in his attempt at hiding the accidental death caused by him. Veeraswamy Ravichandran (born 30 May 1961), known mononymously as Ravichandran, is an actor, director, producer, music director, lyricist and editor in the Kannada Film Industry. Ambika is an Indian actress known for her works predominantly across the entire the southern film industry films and in several teleserials. She also did one English film (an Indo-American one), to date. She was one of the top south Indian heroines for more than a decade from 1978 to 1989. Her younger sister Radha was also an actress. They acted together in a number of south Indian films during the peak of their careers. Malavalli Huchchegowda Amarnath (29 May 1952 – 24 November 2018), known by his screen name Ambareesh, was an Indian actor, media personality, politician from the state of Karnataka. Shankar–Ganesh is an Indian music director duo who has worked on Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada movies for around 50 years. Career They started as assistants to Tamil music composers M. S. Viswanathan and T. K. Ramamoorthy in 1964 and later the duo assisted M.S.Viswanathan alone from 1965 till 1967.
