NSW Central Coast Rugby League First Grade Grand Finals
This article provides information on the First Grade or A Grade premiership deciders of Rugby League competitions held on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia. The Match Details sub-section details the individual point-scorers in a match, where known. That section shall be expanded upon in the near future. The current competition is conducted under the auspices of the Central Coast Division Rugby League, an affiliate of NSW Country Rugby League and the New South Wales Rugby League. List Note: * Most competitions between 1915 and 1936 were decided without a finals series. The premiers being the team with the most points in the league, after an agreed number of rounds. Central Coast (New South Wales)
The Central Coast is a peri-urban region in New South Wales, Australia, lying on the Tasman Sea coast to the north of Sydney and south of Newcastle. Rugby league, in New South Wales, is the most popular participation and spectator sport. It currently has the highest attendance and television audiences of the various codes of football in the state, far outstripping any other competitors. The state has over 400,000 active participants in the sport with a further 1 million playing the sport in schools, over 500 active clubs across the state, and 10 clubs in the national professional competition, named the NRL. Lindsay Bowne
Lindsay Bowne is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played for Cronulla-Sutherland. Bowne came to Cronulla via Grafton, having been a NSW Country Firsts representative player. Playing as a center and winger, Bowne featured in first-grade at Cronulla for two seasons. He was Cronulla's leading try-scorer in the 1992 NSWRL season The 1992 New South Wales Rugby League Premiership season was the eighty-fifth season of professional rugby league football in Australia. John Monie
John Stephen Monie (born 6 October 1946) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1960s and 1970s, and coached in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. He is probably best known for his coaching career where he won premierships in both Australia and England. Playing career Monie was a Standoff who played for his local club on the Central Coast, Woy Woy. After playing in over 100 first grade games for Woy Woy, in 1968 he moved to the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks. In 1968, in a game against Newtown, he became the first Cronulla player to score four tries in a match. He was named the Sharks' Player of the Year in 1969. The Newcastle Rugby League is a local rugby league football competition in Newcastle, Australia. It is one of the oldest rugby league competitions in Australia, founded in 1910. A Newcastle representative team was also assembled from players in the League during most of the 20th century. The first grade competition also comprises the NSWRL Presidents Cup Northern Conference. Terrigal Sharks
The Terrigal Sharks are an Australian youth rugby league football club based in the suburbs of Terrigal and Wamberal on the Central Coast of NSW. They have numerous teams competing in competitions run by the Central Coast Division of Country Rugby League, from U/6s through to First Grade. The Sharks' current home grounds are Duffys Road Oval (Seniors) and Brendan Franklin Oval (Juniors). Their traditional colours are sky blue, black and white.
