NSU German History X
''NSU German History X'' is the American name for the 2016 German TV miniseries ''Mitten in Deutschland: NSU''. The three-part series dramatizes the true events and characters of the National Socialist Underground, a neo-Nazi German terrorist group that was uncovered in November 2011. The show was licensed and syndicated by Netflix for US audiences in 2017, but in July 2020, it was removed. Episodes The story is told through three ninety-minute episodes. Züli Aladağ (born 2 January 1968, Van, Turkey) is a German film director, film producer, and screenwriter. He is of Kurdish and Turkish descent. Biography Aladağ immigrated to Germany in 1973 and grew up in Stuttgart. After a short theatre study in Munich, he completed a six-month internship at Roland Emmerich's Moon 44 in Stuttgart. Uwe Mundlos
Uwe Mundlos (11 August 1973 - 4 November 2011) was a German Neo-Nazi, right-wing terrorist and serial killer. Together with Uwe Böhnhardt and Beate Zschäpe, he formed the nucleus of the terrorist group National Socialist Underground (NSU), which was responsible for 10 murders, 43 attempted murders, 3 explosive attacks, and 15 bank robberies in Germany between 1998 and 2011. He died after a bank robbery led to his discovery by police, presumably by suicide. Early life and education Mundlos was born and grew up in the East-German city of Jena. His brother was disabled. His mother was a saleswoman.
