NK Međimurje
NK Međimurje is a Croatian football club based in Čakovec. The club is named after Međimurje, the region in northern Croatia where Čakovec is located. The club play their home games at the Stadion SRC Mladost, Čakovec, which has a total capacity of approximately 6,000. The club's supporters group is called the Angels. History The club was founded in June 2003 and started to compete in the Croatian Second League, where they replaced NK Omladinac, a club based in the Čakovec suburb of Novo Selo Rok. They finished top of the league at the end of the 2003–04 season, clinching promotion to the Croatian First League. They started their first season in the top flight with three defeats in their opening three matches, before beating Zagreb 1–0 on the road on Day 4 to clinch their first win of the season. Stadion SRC Mladost, Čakovec
Stadion SRC Mladost is a multi-purpose stadium in Čakovec, Croatia. The approximate capacity of the stadium is 8,000 places, including around 5,000 seating capacity, seats. The stadium is owned by the city of Čakovec and primarily used for football (soccer), football matches and various sport of athletics, athletics events. The football clubs currently using the stadium as their home ground are NK Čakovec and NK Međimurje. Occasionally, it is also used to stage concerts and similar events. The stadium was built in the mid-1980s for the purposes of the 1987 Summer Universiade. It is located in the Mladost Centre for Sports and Recreation (''SRC Mladost''), in the northwestern suburban part of the city of Čakovec. The complex also includes several other sports fields, a sports hall and a bathing resort. Originally, the stadium only had around 1,500 seats, all under the roof in the upper tier of the main stand.
