It is an alternative pop, dark-pop, electropop, industrial, and progressive pop track, which contains elements of trip hop, techno-pop, and trance, accompanied by diverse lyrical content. Lyrically, "NDA" speaks about Eilish's battles with fame and for privacy, as well as touching on her relationships.
