Nyo Saw
Nyo Saw is a Burmese military officer and chairman of the Myanmar Economic Corporation (MEC), one of two major conglomerates owned by the Burmese military. Early life and education Nyo Saw graduated from the 23rd intake of the Defence Services Academy. Career Nyo Saw began his career as a grade one general staff officer at the Yangon command. He served as the commandant of the Defence Services Technological Academy and the Defence Services Academy, and also headed the country's central and southern commands. Nyo Saw served as quartermaster general from 2014 to April 2020, before retiring with the rank of lieutenant general. He was succeeded by Kyaw Swar Lin. In the wake of the 2015 Myanmar general election, which saw the National League for Democracy take control of the civilian government, Nyo Saw was integral in awarding government tenders to firms affiliated with military officers. State Administration Council
The State Administration Council (; abbreviated SAC or နစက) is the military junta currently governing Myanmar, established by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Min Aung Hlaing following the 2021 Myanmar coup d'état, February 2021 coup d'état and the declaration of a state of emergency by the National Defence and Security Council. Under the constitution, the Commander-in-Chief holds absolute legislative, executive, and judicial power during a state of emergency. 2015 Myanmar General Election
General elections were held in Myanmar on 8 November 2015, with the National League for Democracy winning a supermajority of seats in the combined national parliament. Voting occurred in all constituencies, excluding seats appointed by the military, to select Members of Assembly to seats in both the upper house (the House of Nationalities) and the lower house (the House of Representatives) of the Assembly of the Union, and State and Region Hluttaws. Ethnic Affairs Ministers were also elected by their designated electorates on the same day, although only select ethnic minorities in particular states and regions were entitled to vote for them. 2021 Myanmar Coup D'état
A coup d'état in Myanmar began on the morning of 1 February 2021, when Elections in Myanmar, democratically elected members of the country's ruling party, the National League for Democracy (NLD), were deposed by the Tatmadaw, Myanmar's military, which then vested power in a State Administration Council, military junta. Kyaw Swar Lin () is a Burmese military general who is current serving as the Chief of General Staff in Myanmar Army. Early life and education Born in 1971, Kyaw Swar Lin graduated from the 35th intake of the Defense Services Academy. Career Kyaw Swar Lin served as a junior officer to Lieutenant-General Moe Myint Tun, commander of the Bureau of Special Operations. They served together on operations in Rakhine State prior to 2018. However, Kyaw Swar Lin came to prominence when he was appointed head of Tatmadaw's Mandalay-based Central Command, ranked as a Major General in 2018. Soe Htut (; born 29 March 1961) is a former Burmese military officer and former Minister for Home Affairs of Myanmar. Soe Htut was a career soldier, and held the rank of Lieutenant General. Early life and education Soe Htut was born to an army general, Brigadier General Lun Maung, and his wife Shwe Thet, in Mandalay, Burma (now Myanmar). He graduated from the 64th intake of the Officers Training School, Bahtoo, and received a bachelor's degree in physics, and a master's degree in defence studies.
